Well, being back at school is painful. Last week’s break was a welcome time to decompress, destress, and sleep. I also had time to think about how to teach some of the upcoming topics in Geometry, and do some reading and problem-solving in Trigonometry. Coming back to the classroom yesterday was a bit of a shock — I had forgotten about some of the continuous hassles of dealing with teenagers and bureaucracy. It also doesn’t help that the weather has turned from lingering Indian summer to definite winter. I guess I’d just like to be better at what I do so that we can all get on with enjoying the process of learning math. But right now I just feel disorganized and without guidance.
