I’ve been feeling overwhelmed and hopeless and very sleep-deprived, but this lifts my spirits a bit. Thank you in advance for indulging this post. The math coach came by one of my Geometry classes to observe today and this is what he wrote:

[Mr. Principal] and [mrc]-
I just wanted to send you both my notes from [mrc]’s lesson today. While this is certainly not designed to be an evaluation, it deserves mentioning that the lesson was outstanding. Students were engaged, the information was on point, and [mrc] used a number of subtle and advanced strategies to maximize the learning. Great job!!
-[Math Coach]

He attached a whole document with details. I’ve only ever had a couple of observations, so this was a helpful thing. Tomorrow, the department chair is observing me. Must be the season for it.

(More on number lines coming, as soon as I have time to finish writing — this weekend, probably.)
